Statement from the M.D.
I would like to firstly thank you for visiting our website and welcome you to it.
Here at Radix Consultancy Ltd, we have extensive knowledge and experience of the Food Industry which we would like to share with you. Our particular area of expertise is twofold:

1) Purchasing / Procurement / Negotiation; and
2) Creativity / Innovation / R&D / New Product Development

Our specialist area of operation is the Prepared Foods sector of the industry. This sector encompasses chilled, frozen or ambient food products sold as:

A) Intermediate Components to:

I. Foodservice Market Suppliers and Distributors
II. Food Manufacturers

B) Convenience Products for home consumption through the retail trade

C) Convenience Products served ready for immediate consumption through the retail 'food to go' trade.

The Food Business Environment
We all know that the food industry is changing continuously and relentlessly around us. Factors such as higher disposable income, faster pace of life, longer commuting times, time pressures and lack of skills or inclination to cook have fuelled an ever increasing demand for both convenience foods and out of home food consumption.

Global sourcing strategies on the part of both retailers and manufacturers, ongoing manufacturing and retailing consolidation, the growth of discounters and the increasing internationalisation of the retailing and foodservice trades are just some of the factors creating an environment which continues to target smaller operators and exert tough price competition.

The boundaries between retail and foodservice are being blurred by the increasing competition for 'share of stomach', evidenced by the provision of most retailers of a more or less credible offering in the 'food to go' category.
A growing element of the consumer public however, displays an antipathy to globally sourced food and chooses (facilitated by their higher disposable income and growing health consciousness) to pay a premium for locally produced, premium and organic foods.
Amid all this change, one message should be clear to anyone running a food manufacturing, distribution, retailing or foodservice business: "stand still and you're history".

Why not have a look at the 'Radix and Your Business!' page of this website to find out what we can do for you! Please also take the time to visit the case studies section of this site; this will give you an idea of the vast opportunities that there could be to achieve your potential while significantly increasing your profitability."
